Updating nvidia bootcamp driver macbook pro

Update: There are newer official NVidia OEM compatiblie drivers available than the ones bundled with Boot Camp 3.0. Laptop Video To Go has archived the 186.03 x86 and x64 drivers from NVidia's site.

In 2012 Apple released a range of Macbook Pro's with Retina displays containing the NVidia 650M.

I've tried downloading updates from NVidia, but they are not installing. These should install fine, if they don't you should tell us what it tells you about why it can't install them. The site now says: As part of the NVIDIA Verde Notebook Driver Program, this is a reference driver that can be installed on supported NVIDIA notebook GPUs.

However, please note that your notebook original equipment manufacturer (OEM) provides certified drivers for your specific notebook on their website.

Apple shipped a set of Bootcamp drivers (used to support Windows on a MBP) with these machines and have since released updates.

The Bootcamp drivers that ship with the Macbook Pro present varying screen resolutions to the d3 program as it tries to start.

While the specs aren't entirely up to speed now it has still functioned fine except for the most high end demos.

This can cause failure to start issues for d3 Designer.

I noticed with Mavericks and running Bootcamp that the drivers download automatically from the Bootcamp installer are not quite complete for Windows 7 64 Bit edition.  You can still manually install most of the drivers from the USB disk that Bootcamp creates but you will run into a couple that it will refuse to find.

And all of the Bootcamp drivers installed and worked smooth as silk. Would you like to answer one of these unanswered questions instead?

I've installed the Windows 7 RC 64-bit edition under boot camp, but I'm have zero luck getting the 3D acceleration working.

NVIDIA recommends that you check with your notebook OEM about recommended software updates for your notebook.
